This was the original way i tried zoodles. I first saw it as the SPIROOLI, and since i have seen what appears to be the exact same unit cheaper under different names. This version is very versatile due to the different blades that allow many different cool cuts.. And the most "Angel Hair" of any of the cuts.
The Achilles heal was always the crank. If you push the crank to cut the veggie, you will quickly break the crank off. If you want this not to break, you have to hold in an awkward pinch between your thumb, and index finger. Being vertical solves this problem. So if getting the crank style vegetable spiralizer make sure to find one of the vertically alligned cranks so it lasts longer, and saves some serious hand crampage.
