How do I make delicious NOT SOGGY zoodles?

Here are two great solutions: First get out most of the moisture by salting the zoodles and lay on paper towels about 20 minutes. But if you are avoiding salt a quicker method is just put the zoodles in a salad spinner! You will be amazed at how much water comes out. Check out this quick video/article if you want a more in-depth perspective.

Can I dehydrate zoodles?

Absolutely! I think sometimes this gets you the best zoodles! Unless you want zoodle soup do not add to water, simply add to your favorite dish and pan grill or stir-fry for the last couple minutes.

Can I buy frozen zoodles?

I have not found frozen zoodles, but here are the links to Trader Joes, and Target so you can find the closest store that has the pre-made fresh zoodles. I still think zoodling is fun and easy. And zoodles you make fresh at home will taste better and be a lot cheaper!

Do zoodles really taste like pasta?

You know….. It’s relative. The short answer is no. Everything tastes different. And everything tastes different in different ways to everyone. So I would look foolish to say Yes this taste exactly the same as pasta. I think the better question is can I use zoodles as a pasta substitute in my diet? That answer is hell yeah! Zoodles, (when prepared properly) are great. I think the flavor profile suits sauces like pesto very well. But also works with tomato or creamy sauces. And if you cook them right the texture is very close. Zucchini is cheap so try some different stuff. Have fun and experiment, and please post here the best stuff you come up with.

How do I make Cauliflower “wings”?

Cauliflower is a great meat substitute for a lot of applications! Cauliflower wings are my Fave! It is really just breading and cooking cauliflower with some great spices. If you have a deep-fryer, that's a great option to really get the feel of chicken wings. But I just roast them at about 400. Still delicious and if you are trying to lose weight, or fight disease through healthier eating. And then you can probably consider putting that deep fryer on offer up. If you use a Buffalo sauce and dip with some Ranch or blue cheese you can have an awesome meat-free football snack. Here are some great recipes for Cauliflower wings, and vegan buffalo, and vegan Ranch too!

How do I make cauliflower tacos?

For any ground beef based dish you can sub ground Cauliflower. And the heavier the spice, the easier it is to buy the illusion. So tacos are Perfect! I use a food processor to chop the cauliflower. I tried my Vitamix first. And while a great versatile tool for a ton of different projects...Cauliflower tacos are not one of its strengths. Any way to save time I chop the Cauliflower into "burger" with the food processor. But if you don't have a food processor, you can use a knife. It is just going to take a little more time. Then put it in a deep frying pan with a small amount of coconut oil and taco seasoning. Taste as you go, and cook it to your desired temperature. I find to feel the most like "real" tacos its best to use crunchy shells. And here is a great healthier way to make crunchy taco shells then either buying or deep frying them.

Why should I juice, or smoothies?

For me the answer is easy. My diet must improve. I eat way too much bread, meat, cheese, and sugary treats. And not near enough veggies, or fruit. When you drink a nice green juice or smoothie you get all those vitamins and nutrients from what is more veggies then I used to get in a week for one quick drink. Plus because it is liquid, your body does not have to do any work to absorb it. Just a ton of killer stuff straight into your body! So you get awesome absorption of a lot more veg than usual, plus because it is a drink. it is a lot faster, and easier than actually physically chewing, and eating says 3 leaves of swiss chard, some romaine, 4 huge fists full of spinach, 3 stalks of celery, 4 carrots, and some assorted berries. And if you don't like the taste, its over fast. SO you can suck it up.

Why should I consider going vegan?

The quick easy answer is it is really good for you. All the cool kids are doing it! The way we produce and consume meat right now is unsafe, unsanitary, inhumane, is killing the planet, and its just plain gross. And apparently, it helps if you are trying to be the greatest quarterback of all time!

Can I get enough protein without meat?

Legumes (such as peas and lentils) and beans offer a flavorful, inexpensive, and protein-rich alternative to meat.  When people think protein, they often think of main dishes. But you can get most of your daily protein needs from side dishes by using beans, legumes, and grains (and even greens, as mentioned above!). Whip up a batch or two of hummus every week, or try black bean burgers. Quinoa, a gluten-free grain loaded with fiber and about six grams of protein per serving. or try a vegan protein powder for smoothies!. There are many dairy-free protein powders made from hemp, brown rice, and pea protein. And have you tried the Beyond Burger? IT IS AWESOME!! 20G of protein per serving vegan with no soy, no gluten, and non-GMO. Just sayin...
